Harshal Patel overtakes Yuzi Chahal to become the highest wicket-taker in a season for RCB

Harshal bowled a stupendous spell of 4 overs, in which he conceded 34 runs and picked up three wickets. As a result, he becomes the highest wicket-taking bowler in a season for Royal Challengers Bangalore, he now has 26 wickets in just 11 matches.

Harshal Patel is enjoying the best form of his life and it is quite visible in the manner that he’s picking up wickets on regular basis and today’s match against Rajasthan Royals was no exception.

The spinners provided some early breakthroughs and it was Harshal Patel, the household name of RCB’s death bowling, who once again proved his worth by picking up 3 wickets in the match. Along with that he also broke the record for most wickets by an uncapped player in a season. This record was also previously owned by his teammate Chahal. With still three matches to go, Patel must be eyeing the record of most wickets in one season of IPL. The current holder of this record is CSK’s Dwayne Bravo, who picked 32 wickets in the 2013 edition of IPL.

Harshal Patel is the current purple cap holder of this season with a massive wicket lead against the second-place contender Avesh Khan.
