Glenn Maxwell completes 7000 runs in T20 cricket

Australian player Glenn Maxwell reaches 7,000 runs in T20 cricket while playing against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2021. He considered one of the most prolific batsman in T20.

In Match no 39 of VIVO IPL 2021 which was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals as the Virat’s men were looking for crucial 2 points that would have made their place in the playoffs easy with 14 points. Rajasthan Royals struggled to carry on their middle overs after their openers get them to a flyer. When RCB were given a target, it was Glenn Maxwell who scored an important 40 runs as well as completed 7000 runs in T20 format. The former Delhi Capitals player is considered as one of the most dangerous batsman in IPL history.

The arrival of Glenn Maxwell proved to be a big problem for the Rajasthan Royal’s as he smashed sixes all over the park and played with pure supreme and talent as he bagged to score 40 runs to take RCB closer to the playoffs race.

It was on the 14th over, when he took a quick single after a slow bowl bowled by Chetan Sakariya for him to cross 7000 runs in T20 cricket. It’s because of his explosive batting and skills that made him score so many runs in T20 cricket and IPL cricket.

 

RCB started the innings well as Virat Kohli and Devdutt Paddikal provided a good start. Later at the end of the powerplay, Padikkal got out by Mustafizur Rehman as he bowled a Yorker to clean him up. The dismal of Virat Kohli through a small misfield by Riyan Parag proved to be key for Rajasthan Royals. The arrival of Glenn Maxwell totally changed the game for Royal Challengers Bangalore as they cruised on to win the match by 6 wickets.
