After taking two wickets against SRH, in match 44 of VIVO IPL, Bravo became the highest wicket-taking bowler against RCB, in IPL.
The Sunrisers Hyderabad came into the match knowing that they had to win it at any cost. They were the only team in this year’s IPL who had won less than 4 matches and to stay in the hunt for the playoff spot, they needed to win all their remaining matches. Losing the toss and batting first, was never going to be an easy task against a side that has a bowling line-up lead by Dwayne Bravo from the front and that is what happened. SRH in their 12.3 overs could only accumulate 74 runs and lost 4 crucial wickets.

Out of these 4 wickets, two wickets were taken by Dwayne Bravo alone. Brought early into the attack, Bravo did what he was asked of. He picked the most priced wicket of Kane Williamson, the captain of SRH. The Kiwi was dismissed at the meagre score of 11. Then in his second spell, he took the wicket of Priyam Garg who was already struggling to score. The West Indian only conceded 17 runs in his 4 overs at an economy rate of 4.2 runs per over.
The two times Purple Cap winner has 11 wickets in just 7 matches this season. He is also the first bowler in T20 cricket to have taken 300, 400, and 500 wickets.
