Rajasthan Royals win match 45 of IPL 2020 in an emphatic fashion against the Mumbai Indians by 8 wickets.
RR went into the second innings with a difficult job of chasing 196 runs put up by Mumbai on the board. They lost early wickets of Robin Uthappa and Steve Smith, however it has been a splendid performance from Ben Stokes in particular and Sanju Samson post that start. They had a mammoth partnership of 152 runs to take their team home with Ben Stokes scoring 107 runs in just 60 balls and Samson scoring 54 runs in 31 balls.
It is fair to say that Mumbai Indians had a very difficult day with the ball as no bowler could pick up a wicket apart from the 2 wickets of James Pattinson. The experience Bumrah and Boult were taken apart for runs as well.
This victory puts Rajasthan Royals back into the mix for the playoff spots and the tournament has become very interesting going into the final week of the league stage.
