Match 37 of the Dream11 IPL 2020 comes to an end as Rajasthan Royals beat Chennai Super Kings by 7 wickets in a very comfortable and commanding run-chase for the Royals.
Chennai Super Kings batted first on a very slowish pitch and never really got going as they kept losing wickets at the early stage of the innings and could not get a flourish at the end to finish with a big total.
Rajasthan Royals too lost early wickets in their chase, however captain Steve Smith and marquee player Jos Buttler came to the party with an unbeaten 98 run partnership taking their side home, scoring 26 runs in 34 balls and 70 runs in just 48 balls respectively, with Jos undoubtedly being the star of the show.
Deepak Chahar impressed once again for CSK with 18 runs and 2 wickets in 4 overs followed by a wicket picked up by Jos Hazlewood. Chennai’s hopes of making it to the playoffs seem to have crushed with this defeat and they are certainly a side looking for a huge rebuild ahead of next season.
RR keep their hopes on track to make it to the playoffs and would need to build on this victory in order to achieve that goal.
