Dream11 IPL 2020: Predicted Lineups for Chennai Super Kings for today’s match against SRH

Chennai Super Kings and captain MS Dhoni would not be too happy with their start to the Dream11 IPL 2020 tournament in the UAE.

It all looked good and jolly for CSK after they won the tournament opener against Mumbai Indians at Abu Dhabi with a rather gloomy build-up to their season with players testing positive for the COVID-19 virus and with senior players opting out of the tournament due to personal reasons.

However, it has not looked really pleasant for the team from Chennai ever since. They lost their next game to the Rajasthan Royals by 16 runs, followed by a rather disappointing loss to the Delhi Capitals by 44 runs. Furthermore, it will be even more alarming for the CSK management as they were convincingly outplayed by their opposition in all 3 facets of the game. Their ageing squad which has now been stretched out of depth has started to look vulnerable and can be easily exploited by the opposing teams.

Sam Curran, Josh Hazlewood and Faf du Plessis have been the bright sparks for CSK so far with Faf being 3rd on the orange cap list(highest run-scorer of the tournament). It will also be of concern that all these players are overseas and none of the domestic Indian players have stepped up for CSK. Ambati Rayudu who had been out injured will be available for this game which will be a big boost for Chennai and there is no doubt that he would go straight back into the starting XI.

Chennai Super Kings predicted XI: 1 Shane Watson, 2 Ruturaj Gaikwad, 3 Faf du Plessis, 4 Ambati Rayudu, 5 Sam Curran, 6 Kedar Jadhav, 7 MS Dhoni (capt & wk), 8 Ravindra Jadeja, 9 Deepak Chahar, 10 Piyush Chawla, 11 Josh Hazlewood.
