Kings XI Punjab have mixed emotions at the start of their Dream11 IPL 2020 campaign. Their opening batsmen are fighting it out for the top spot in the highest run scorer of the tournament list and their marquee bowler Mohammad Shami is the joint highest wicket taker of the tournament with just 3 games in, however Kings XI have managed to lose 2 matches out of their opening 3 so far.

While the table might read two losses against the Kings XI Punjab name, the story is not that simple. The first game came as a loss against the Delhi Capitals in the super over. The second match was all but a commanding win over RCB and the third match was in all fairness Punjab’s game to lose which they eventually did due to the individual heroics of Rahul Tewatia for the Rajasthan Royals which saw them score 51 runs of their last 3 overs.
Considering the individual brilliances shown by the Kings XI player’s so far, there should not be any tweaks or changes in the lineups barring the one of Sheldon Cottrell. Cottrell is a fantastic overseas bowler with a knack to pick up crucial wickets however after being smacked for 30 runs of his final 6 balls against RR it is quite possible that captain KL Rahul looks to bring a fresh face into the side in place of the West-Indian.
While Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul will be looking to fight it out again amongst each other for the orange cap, Mohammad Shami will be keen to increase his tally of wickets as the purple cap holder. It is sure to be an exciting game against the Mumbai Indians.
