Kings XI Punjab win match 38 of the Dream11 IPL 2020 against the Delhi Capitals by 5 wickets with an over to spare.
KXIP had a difficult start to their run chase of 165 runs by losing 3 wickets in the first 6 overs of the powerplay. The ‘big 3’ in KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal and Chris Gayle all departed early in a must win match for Punjab. Nicholas Pooran however stole the party and made it his own show in a partnership with Glenn Maxwell scoring 58 runs in just 28 balls smashing 3 huge sixes in the chase. Maxwell scored 32 runs in 24 balls and the chase was finished off by Deepak Hooda and James Neesham.
Kagiso Rabada was lethal with the ball again picking up 2 wickets followed by a wicket each for Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin. Young pacer Tushar Deshpande had a difficult outing as he was very expensive in his 2 overs.
Kings XI have now won 3 on the bounce and would look to continue the momentum in their next 3 games if they want to give themselves a chance to qualify for the playoffs.
