Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and opted to bat first against Chennai Super Kings. Aaron Finch and Devdutt Padikkal started off well but lost their wickets before converting their start into big runs. Sam Curran took Finch’s wicket and Santner sent off Devdutt. Far du Plessis and Rituraj Gaikwad took a spectacular relay catch to dismiss Devdutt. Kohli and de Villiers helped RCB pace their innings a little as they started forming a good partnership.
