The IPL 2020 is turning out to be way more exciting and interesting than many other seasons of the tournament. While the season got delayed due to the pandemic, it is finally taking place in the UAE. With high scoring matches and interesting individual performances, a lot of young stars have risen up so far in this year’s IPL.

Delhi Capitals skipper Shreyas Iyer is the youngest captain in the league but has been leading his side with a huge responsibility. Apart from the side’s success, his individual performance is also rising up the charts. His ability to clear the ropes is worth watching. Rishabh Pant who plays for the same franchise has always been in the talks for his explosive batting and huge totals. He is an integral part of the side and its victories.


Devdutt Padikkal, who made his IPL debut this year is representing RCB and has been a solution to their opening pair. His performance so far has been a delight and the 20-year-old has scored 3 half-centuries in the four matches he has played. Padikkal’s ability to hit boundaries and also rotate the strike has been praised by many cricketing stars including skipper Virat Kohli.

Another player making huge noise in the town is Sanju Samson who plays for the Rajasthan Royals. He has traumatised several bowling line ups with his new explosive batting style this season. He helped his team chase the highest total of 223 in IPL history. Other youngsters including Ishan Kishan, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Mayank Agarwal, Navdeep Saini and Shubhman gill are also performing in the IPL and showing great intent. Apart from being the most impactful players this season, theses youngster have another thing in common. They have all been trained under Rahul Dravid who has been given the name of “The Wall” of Indian cricket.

They have been training in the NCA under head coach Rahul Dravid while they played for India Under-19 and India A. He also coached Shreyas and Pant while coaching Delhi Daredevils in 2017. Twitter is buzzing with an appreciation for Dravid and his ability to nurture young talent and giving back to the Indian Cricket.
