Dinesh Karthik, the veteran Indian wicketkeeper-batsman, has joined the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) squad ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season. RCB took to social media to share a picture of Karthik.
Karthik, who has played for multiple IPL teams in the past, was picked up by RCB during the player auction for the 2022 season. The 37-year-old brings a wealth of experience to the team and plays a crucial role in the middle order, both with the bat and behind the stumps.
RCB has always been known for its strong batting lineup, and Karthik’s inclusion adds even more firepower to the team. With the likes of Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, and Faf du Plessis already in the squad, RCB’s batting looks even more formidable.
Karthik has had a successful career in the IPL, scoring over 3,500 runs at an average of 25.13 and a strike rate of 129.76. He has also been a reliable wicketkeeper, with 130+ dismissals to his name.
