Chahar gave her partner a big surprise as she was very well surprised by the proposal and happily said yes with the couple celebrating the momentous occasion with a warm hug as people around cheered on for the newly couple. Cricketing expert Akash Chopra said that it was seen that Deepak Chahar was caught talking to his captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni about his intentions to propose to his girlfriend during the UAE leg of the IPL season this year. However, Dhoni offered him to do it before the playoffs probably to not let his players get distracted from all the important stages.

The 29-year-old pacer chose to do it after the Chennai Super Kings’ last league match against Punjab Kings, which they, unfortunately, lost by 6 wickets but still make it to the playoffs officially no matter which position they finish. Chahar made his debut for India in July 2018 against England in Bristol.
