CSK all-rounder Dwayne Bravo becomes the first bowler to take 550 wickets in T20 cricket

Dwayne Bravo is also the first bowler to take 300, 400, and 500 wickets in T20c Cricket. Coming into the match he was chasing the record of Lasith Malinga, who is the highest wicket-taker in the history of IPL. He’s currently in the third position.

Dwayne Bravo and T20 records go hand in hand. The Trinidadian has a knack for creating records with the ball in his hand and is once again at it, as now he becomes the first bowler in the history of T20 cricket to pick up 550 wickets. He achieved this feat in the Qualifier 1 match of IPL 2021, which was played between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals.

CSK was able to contain DC in the middle overs after they got on to a flying start courtesy of a quick fifty by Prithvi Shaw. Bravo was thrown the ball by his captain in the death overs, as usual.  And the all-rounder picked up one of the most prized wickets by dismissing Shimron Hetmyer, who was starting to look dangerous alongside his captain Rishabh Pant. The DC captain however was indeed on song as he played a blistering knock of 51 to take his side over the score of 170.
