Captain Kohli & his troops face the KKR challenge in the first Eliminator, their hunt for the maiden title continues

The winner of this Eliminator will take on Delhi Capitals in the 2nd Qualifier which will be played on the 12th of October.

In the Eliminator of IPL 2021, RCB will take on KKR, for a place in Qualifier 2. This is a very important game for Virat Kohli, who earlier announced stepping down as RCB captain, at the end of this year’s campaign. Therefore, the Skipper Kohli will be itching more than the batsman, Kohli, to get his hands on the prestigious trophy, and considering their current form, they are surely the top contenders to win this match.

In the recent games, RCB has dominated with both bat and ball. And why would they not, after all, they have a star-studded batting lineup. With skipper Kohli and Padikkal opening the inning, they have players like K.S. Bharat, Glenn Maxwell, and A.B. de Villiers in the middle order and someone like Dan Christian and Shahbaz Nadeem to finish the job. While their bowling unit led by Harshal Patel is renowned to be one of the most lethal attacks in this year’s IPL.

A victory although will not be an easy thing to come by in this match, as KKR has been galloping like a dark horse, in the second phase. After a poor start in the first leg, they were written off by everyone. But the never say die attitude of Morgan and his boys were rekindled in the second phase, as they decided to take it one match at a time. Several hurdles in the form of injured players kept coming in their way, yet they keep going strong. Now, in the Eliminator they have a chance to spur past the RCB lineup to assert themselves in contention of the third title.
