Brand sponsors of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for IPL 2021

Puma, Muthoot Fincorp, DP World, Exide has inked a partnership with Royal Challengers Bangalore for the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) was founded in 2008 by United Spirits and named after the company’s liquor brand Royal Challenge is a franchise cricket team based in Banglore, Karnataka, which plays in the IPL, Indian Premier League.

Between 2009 and 2016 Royal Challengers have finished runners-up on three occasions but never won the IPL. Along with holding a record of the highest 263/5 and the lowest totals 49  in the IPL. On a circular red base with the black text “Royal Challengers Bangalore” in standard format surrounding the RCB logo consists of the RC emblem, drive from the original Royal challenge logo a roaring lion was placed on the top of the logo of the RC crown which was being derived from the original Royal challenge logo. Featuring a bigger lion in 2020, a new logo was disclosed by RCB.

Kit manufactures & Brand sponsors of RCB for IPL 2021:

Puma the third-largest sportswear manufacturer in the world has inked a strategic multi-year partnership with Royal Challengers Bangalore as the official kit partner ahead of RCB. Rudolf Dassler founded the company in 1948. Two separate entities, Adidas and Puma were formed after the relationship between the two brothers Rudolf and his brother Adolf “Adi” Dassler collapsed in 1948. Both companies are currently based in Herzogenaurach, Germany. To be currently associated with an IPL team as a sponsor Puma has become the only global sportswear brand.

Talking about the timing of the association, Abhishek Ganguly, Managing Director, PUMA India, and Southeast Asia said, “We believe our association with RCB will strengthen our presence in the teamwear category. The organized team merchandising segment has nearly doubled in its size in the last two years to about Rs 60 crore. To fuel the growth of this category further and we believe there is an important potential for this category for us as a brand in the coming years.”

Muthoot Pappachan Group, also known as Muthoot Blue, an Indian conglomerate founded in 1887 by Ninan Mathai Muthoot has signed a shirt sponsor (Front) for the Indian Premier League side Royal Challengers Bangalore. Muthoot having its headquarters in Trivandrum, Kerala, containing more than 26,000 employees across 4,200 branches in India. Financial service to consumer businesses, hospitality, automotive dealerships, real estate, healthcare, IT services, precious metals, and alternate energy are being provided by Muthoot.

DP World an Emirati multinational logistics company based in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates has signed a shirt sponsor (Back) for the Indian Premier League side Royal Challengers Bangalore. Cargo Logistics, port terminal operations, maritime services, and free trade zones are the things specialized in DP World. DP world has been formed in 2005 by the joining of the Dubai Ports Authority and Dubai Ports International, which handles 70 million containers that are brought in by around 70,000 vessels annually.

Exide Industries Limited an Indian multinational storage battery manufacturer and life insurance company, headquartered in Kolkata has signed chest branding for the Indian Premier League side Royal Challengers Bangalore. In a country like India, Exide is marked as the largest manufacturer of automotive and industrial lead-acid batteries and the fourth-largest manufacturer in the world. Spanning across 5 continents Exide as plants in India and Sri Lanka, it also has a dealership network in 46 countries.

According to the company, it has four major lead-acid battery recycling facilities of which two are in the US and another one in Spain, and another one in Portugal.
