BCCI President Sourav Ganguly hopeful that IPL 2022 will be held in India

BCCI chief Saurav Ganguly expected next year IPL will be held in India.Covid-19 forced them to stage the second half of this year’s mega tournament in the UAE. Two teams will be added to next year’s tournament.

BCCI President Saurav Ganguly expects next year the Indian Premier League to be played in India. COVID-19 had forced the player and all the franchises to move to the United Arab Emirates. This is the biggest tournament of the world league which estimates the brand value of $6.8 billion was stopped near its halfway mark in May after two franchise reports of coronavirus cases at their camp. BCCI then decided to shift the entire tournament to the United Arab Emirates. The IPL 2021 title was won by the iconic player and skipper of CSK against KKR. This was the fourth title for CSK.

BCCI president Saurav Ganguly was optimistic to host next year’s IPL 2022 in front of a full crowd. “I hope so because it’s India’s tournament,” BCCI President Sourav Ganguly told in an online conversation on Saturday.” As much as you see the superb atmosphere in Dubai, it’s different in India. Madness in India with full of crowd happened as we have seen in previous IPL tournaments.

I would love to back to India again. I am very hopeful that within seven-eight months COVID-19 situation will improve a lot. We can host IPL with a packed stadium. The former India captain and now BCCI President was speaking after organizing a campaign for the T20 World Cup which starts on 17 October, Sunday. The campaign was actually for fantasy sports platforms. He is the brand ambassador of MY11 Circle.
