
Indian All-rounder, Axar Patel who represents Delhi Capitals in the IPL shares his opinions regarding Delhi Capitals’ picks at the IPL Auction 2022.
Axar in an interview with Delhi Capitals on Twitter said, “I was watching the auction on my phone, seeing what buys are happening, what players are Delhi Capitals taking.” He feels that buying David Warner (6.25 crores) who will open with Prithvi Shaw was an outstanding choice made by the franchise.
The 28-year-old also said that he as a player has been following the auction for two days, and feels that the fans of the Delhi franchise would have also been following up the auction. He believes that the cricket lovers would know how a strong team we have built, and with fans’ support, it becomes even more excited.

Axar was retained by the Delhi Capitals for Rs 9 crores, along with other players like Rishabh Pant (16 crores), Prithvi Shaw (7.5 crores), and Anrich Nortje (6.5 crores) for the upcoming IPL 2022.
On Friday, Axar along with KL Rahul was ruled out of India vs West Indies T20 series due to their injuries. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Deepak Hooda will be replacing them in the squad.
Yesterday, it was announced by BCCI that Washington Sundar will also not be a part of the series due to his left hamstring injury. As result, Kuldeep Yadav will be replacing him.
The three-match T20 series between India and West Indies will start tomorrow at 7:30 pm in the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
