Cricket is a game of uncertainties they say and Rajasthan Royals’ performance in the last game was a perfect example of it. Coming into the game with a very experimental lineup, Royals were handed a gigantic total of 189 to chase by their opponents CSK. In the first inning, it felt as if the pitch was a little on the slower side, which meant the target was well above par. Especially considering the poor which the Royals had endured throughout the season, the whole cricketing fraternity was waiting for them to crumble under the pressure. However, what happened next made everyone appreciate not only the grit of this young side but also the game of cricket in general. Rajasthan won the match with 7 wickets and 15 balls to spare. Both youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube making 50s.

Now with a great morale boost and better NRR than their opponents, Rajasthan Royals is going to take the field against Mumbai Indians the defending champions. The match is very interesting as nobody can remember when was the last time, they had seen Mumbai languish so low in the points table. They currently sit in the 7th position at the table. They’re tied on points with Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals. Although it’s their NRR that has kept them out of contention for the Playoff, a win can take them above everyone and land them in a position of contention.

Mumbai Indians in this phase of the tournament have had some batting woes. Neither their top order nor middle order has come to their rescue. In the past game, Surya Kumar showed some signs of a revival though and will be looking to repeat it in the match against Rajasthan too. Rohit Sharma knows that their bowling unit is very strong in comparison to that of Rajasthan, so they will be looking to bolster their batting a little and hope for things to go their way.
