“When you are trying to get three retention, you want to get three pillars sorted,” says KL Rahul.

Talking about Marcus Stoinis’s impact on the team, skipper Rahul states that Marcus is one of the best limited-overs all-rounders as he can bat at number 5 or 6 and have been witnessed opening in some matches in the Big Bash League, and also be a 6th bowler option for the team. The flexibility of Marcus has impressed Rahul as captain Rahul is set to assign a crucial role to Marcus Stoinis.

Adding on, Rahul opened up about Ravi Bishnoi’s positive attitude towards the game as the young spinner has not got much exposure in the Indian team like the West Indies series is his maiden call-up and also has very less experience in the Indian Premier League but Rahul appreciated his positive attitude of asking for the bow during the match with a belief of bowling out great batsmen like Russel, Virat, and Dhoni. Rahul and Bishnoi have shared dressing rooms while playing together for Punjab Kings and will be continuing their close relationship with the new team.
