Indian left-arm spin bowler Axar Patel joined Delhi Capitals’ training session as per Delhi Capitals’ official Twitter handle as some photos of him were posted on Saturday where he was seen batting and bowling in the nets. Axar was recently playing in the Indian team in the second Test against Sri Lanka. He was called up to the squad after doctors approved that he is fit to play. He was brought into the team for Kuldeep Yadav and did perform well in the second Test as India won the match as well as the series by 2-0 in Bengaluru.
After this series against Sri Lanka, the players were given a couple of days’ rest before the IPL preparations start. Thus, after some rest, the Indian spinner is back on the pitch. He will be playing under Rishabh Pant’s captaincy and will see some new faces after the team bought some new players in this year’s mega auction.

Delhi Capitals will be facing Mumbai Indians in their first match of the IPL 2022 which will be played on Sunday 27th March at Brabourne stadium. All the teams have already started preparing for the new season and it will be interesting to see which team gets their hands on the trophy.
