Internet breaks as Ravichandran Ashwin surprises fans in TNPL auction

On February 23 and 24, Mahabalipuram hosted the Tamil Nadu Premier League’s (TNPL) first-ever player auction. A senior India player was seen making an impressive bid for Dindigul Dragons, despite the fact that several prominent players from the state received similar offers from other participants. At the TNPL 2023 Auction, it was none other than Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin who was seen placing a bid on his team’s behalf.

Days after helping India defeat Australia 2-0 in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023, the veteran spinner, 36, was spotted at the Dindigul Dragons table.

Fans did not expect Ashwin to leave team India’s session for the remaining Border Gavaskar games, as the people’s ‘Anna’ seemed to be in some serious game.
