The Mumbai Indians spin bowler, Rahul Chahar was one of the names who was been announced in the Indian T20I World Cup squad which is to be held in UAE from October. It was an emotional moment for the 22-year-old Indian spin bowler Rahul Chahar when he read his name in the T20I World Cup squad. The bowler was included in the 15-man squad after seeing his amazing performance in the domestic cricket for Rajasthan and in the Indian Premier League for Mumbai Indians in these recent years.
Rahul’s cousin brother Deepak Chahar who plays under MS. Dhoni in the IPL team named Chennai Super Kings was also been announced for the World Cup squad but as a standby player. If someone feels unwell or not fit for the match, Deepak could feature in the team in place of that particular player. It was a proud moment for Chahar’s parents as he got into the Indian World Cup team. Indian spinner Rahul Chahar is currently in UAE along with his Mumbai Indians’ teammates for the remainder of the IPL 2021 which is set to start from 19th September 2021.
“It took a lot of hard work, World Cup is a very big thing, you get few chances to represent your country in tournaments like these, so I am excited and a little emotional,” Rahul Chahar said in a video posted by Mumbai Indians.
