Indian Premier League: Remaining balance in the purses of the 10 IPL teams

Auctions for IPL 2022 are about to get started with the teams looking forward to buying some big players and freshly talented young players.

BCCI on Tuesday (February 1, 2022) announced the Indian Premier League’s auction list for the upcoming season of 2022. The auctions will be held on February 12 and 13 in Bengaluru as the two-day Mega Auction includes a total of 590 players who will be excited to go under the hammer as ten franchises await to build a balanced and competitive squad.

Along with the auction list of registered players, BCCI also unveiled the remaining balances of the 10 teams ahead of the auction in the coming weeks.

The 10 teams who will be thriving against each other for the bids of exciting players in the two-day auctions are Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Team Ahmedabad. With two new teams coming in the challenge of the Mega Auction gets bigger and better for the fans to watch a tinge of IPL before the season starter.

The price of ₹ 2 crores is the highest reserve price for any player in the IPL auctions and 48 players have been suited for this valuable position whereas 34 players will go under the hammer at the base price of ₹ 1.5 crores.

The following are the remaining balance of the respective teams ahead of the IPL Mega Auction-

CSK is left with ₹ 48 crores with 21 open slots, 7 of them being overseas player slots.

DC is left with ₹ 47.5 crores with 21 open slots, 7 of them being overseas player slots.

KKR is left with ₹ 48 crores with 21 open slots, 6 of them being overseas player slots.

SRH is left with ₹ 68 crores with 22 open slots, 7 of them being overseas player slots.

Punjab Kings is left with ₹ 72 crores with 23 open slots, 8 of them being overseas player slots.

RCB is left with ₹ 57 crores with 22 open slots, 7 of them being overseas player slots.

RR is left with ₹ 62 crores with 22 open slots, 7 of them being overseas player slots.

MI is left with ₹ 48 crores with 21 open slots, 7 of them being overseas player slots.

Lucknow Super Giants is left with ₹ 59 crores with 22 open slots, 7 of them being overseas player slots.

Team Ahmedabad is left with ₹ 52 crores with 22 open slots, 7 of them being overseas player slots.
