IND vs SA 2021 – In comes the other shocking news for hosts when Anrich Nortje is ruled out of the red ball cricket series. Earlier it was Quinton de Kock’s unavailability for the test series but to make things worse here is another player to not feature in the series.

Even the Indian player Rohit Sharma has ruled out of the series earlier this week. Cricket South Africa has announced the unavailability of a pacer due to persistent injury. CSA has also mentioned that no replacement for the fast bowler.

“Due to persistent injury, Anrich Nortje ruled out of test series and we have no replacement of fast bowler,” CSA said in his statement.

The fast bowler took 47 wickets in 12 tests in his career. While in 2021, Anrich Nortje seized 25 wickets in 5 tests. The absence of Anrich Nortje has opened the door for Duanne Olivier to bowl alongside Kagiso Rabada.

It seems to be good news for the visitors camp to not face express pace Anrich Nortje. Duanne Olivier will return to the team after 2019. South Africa has a quality fast bowling attack compared to the batting department.

Earlier Anrich Nortje has played in the Indian premier league and was quite effective with his quick pace.
