India vs England: India posts Humongous total of 224 in the first innings of 5th T20I

India registered the highest team total against England in the fifth T20I at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. For the first time, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli opened the innings for India and the combination just flicked and proved to be a show stellar.

England won the toss and opted to field first. Skipper Kohli hits unbeaten 80 knock which became his highest score in T20I. Both the openers Rohit-Kohli put up a 96-run partnership. Kohli is also leading as the captain with the highest total in T20I, 1500*. This was his 12th T20I 50+ score as a captain.

India posted 224 runs for 2 wickets. The match’s one great moment was Chris Jordan taking the one-handed catch of Suryakumar Yadav. Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav too played small cameo roles in posting this gigantic total against England. Now its a wait and watch game for India fans as the bowlers too seem in a red hot form. It will be interesting  to  see can England chase down this humongous target.
