India stands No.1 in the ICC Test team rankings after 1-0 series victory over New Zealand

India is back at the top spot of ICC Test rankings after dominating NZ at Wankhede Stadium to seal the series 1-0.

India is back at the top of ICC test rankings as they beat New Zealand by 372 runs in the 2nd test at Wankhede Stadium to win the series 1-0.
The Virat Kohli-led side has now won 14 consecutive test series at home. A run that started way back in 2013 with a 4-0 victory over Australia is going well and truly unmatched for the men in blue.

After being held at Kanpur by Kiwis, India was keen to win at Mumbai to seal the series and they did so in an emphatic style.

New Zealand was never seen on the driving seat in the 2nd test as they showed ordinary display with the bat, got all-out for just 62 runs in 1st and 167 runs in their 2nd innings. Ajaz Patel was the lone hero for them who got a career-best figure of 14/225 in the match, dismissed all 10 Indian players by himself in 1st innings.

IThe ndia who lost to the NZ in the World Test Championship final in June are now leading the ICC test rankings with 124 rating points, kiwis just behind them at the 2nd spot with 121 rating points. India also has gained the 3rd spot in the ICC WTC table with 42 points and a win percentage of 58.33. Sri Lanka is the table-toppers at the moment.
