After losing both openers near the end of the power-play, all eyes are on Rishabh Pant and Deepak Hooda, who are expected to lead the Indian innings to 100 runs.

The Indian openers appeared to be set to a good start until Rohit Sharma stepped back with 33 runs off only 16 deliveries. The Indian captain had a strong start but was eventually knocked out by Akeal Hosein.

Suryakumar Yadav, who scored 24 runs off 14 deliveries, followed in the captain’s footsteps.

After successfully crossing the century mark for the squad, Rishabh Pant and Deepak Hooda will now aim to gear up, and with less than 8 overs remaining, Team India will look to convert their momentum to an aggressive end.

India down the line has Sanju Samson, who has yet to bat in this series, as well as the “comeback king” Dinesh Karthik and Axar Patel, who was called up to replace Hardik Pandya.
