
Indian All-rounder, Washington Sundar will not be a part of upcoming India vs West Indies T20 series due to a hamstring injury.
According to the Cricbuzz report, Sundar has been asked to report to the NCA on February 15. He will spend three weeks at the NCA, which means that he will also miss the Sri Lanka series.
However, BCCI will not name a substitute to Sundar because of the bio-secure bubble. Deepak Hooda who is currently in the squad is likely to replace him with Venkatesh Iyer also present at the moment.
On Friday, Indian vice-captain, KL Rahul and All-rounder, Axar Patel have also been ruled out of the West Indies T20 series due to their injuries. As a result, Ruturaj Gaikwad, who recently recovered from COVID-19, and All-rounder, Deepak Hooda will be replacing them in the squad.
The first match of the three-match T20 series between India and West Indies will be played on February 16, following the second match on February 18 and the series will be done and dusted on February 20.
