Team India successfully managed to seal the series, winning the dominating show last night. The blues set the target of 191 runs with the help of the overall performance by the top-order batsman. Rohit and Suryakumar initiated a powerful start, smashing the ball all around the park but unfortunately walked back towards the conclusion of the power play. Rishabh Pant’s 44 runs during the middle order assisted the team in a better finish. Sanu Samson had a satisfying comeback as he scored 30* runs and finished the Indian innings at 191 runs.
West Indies’ innings were successfully bowled out by the visitors at 132 runs and no partnership was formed which could have saved the hosts from this embarrassing finish.
The India bowlers did individually well as Avesh Khan made a critical comeback by clinching 2 wickets in the start which gave the blues a perfect start to the second innings, followed by Arshdeep Singh’s 3 wickets. Ravi Bishnoi and Axar Patel too bagged in 2 wickets each, giving team India a successful breakthrough in the middle overs.
Rohit Sharma congratulated the entire team and specifically backed up Avesh Khan who was undergoing a tough time since the last two matches the Indian management continued to back up the tall pacer and Avesh managed to take the opportunity in the 4th T20I.
Rohit Sharma said “ We do understand Avesh’s talent. Anyone can have one or two bad games, but we want to keep his skills in mind. We want to give boys enough game time in the middle. He used the conditions and his height well, which was great to see.”
