IND vs WI: Shubman Gill shares ODI format’s evolvement

India clinched a thrilling ODI series decider with a commanding 200-run victory over West Indies, securing a 2-1 series win. Stellar performances from top-order batsmen Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill, and captain Hardik Pandya led India to an impressive total of 351/5.

Opting to bowl, West Indies struggled in the chase, failing to recover from early setbacks. Shardul Thakur’s four-wicket haul and Jaydev Unadkat’s crucial wicket were instrumental in India’s triumph. The West Indies batting lineup faltered, except for a few lower-order batsmen. India’s all-round prowess and depth were on display, establishing their dominance and series victory.

Shubman Gill | Player of the Match: Very special for me, I was looking for a big score but unfortunately that didn’t happen and I’m happy that we ended up on the winning side. It was a good (the pitch), initially the ball was coming on nicely and as the ball got older it became tough to hit. In the last game, I was set and looking for a big one and tried to accelerate, you gotta keep putting the pressure on the opposition as that’s how the ODI game have evolved recently. I just try to do my best and not think too much about who’s playing or not.
