West Indies have been drifted as India needs only 4 wickets to win the 2nd ODI game which will lock in the series winner as the hosts will be winning the second consecutive game in the ongoing series.

Deepak Hooda assisted the team to win the first ODI by standing and knocking a well-deserved partnership with Suryakumar Yadav. The second ODI too witnessed Hooda’s potential in the middle order. There was a doubt if the debutant would get another chance as the squad showed Shikhar Dhawan available and fit for the remaining series.

With Shikhar Dhawan coming into the playing XI, a player has to be replaced and the questions raised as the overall team performance by team India would not consider Dhawan’s presence in the playing XI. The left-hand and right-hand combination for the opening pair is something team India is searching for and Pant’s surprise position in the second ODI who came to open with skipper Rohit Sharma.
