IND vs SL: With Rohit, Virat, and KL back in squad what will be team India’s playing XI for the 1st ODI?

Guwahati, a city in the Kamrup Metropolitan area, will host the first game of the three-match ODI series between the two nations. The Sri Lankan team and the Men in Blue have arrived at the location and will start practising at noon today.

Due to the significance of the ICC World Cup 2023, team India will concentrate on maintaining a consistent starting XI and making few changes to the playing squad this year. Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan might be included for the first ODI while the top three players in the batting order, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Virat Kohli, will be sharpening their skills in what they do best.

Axar Patel might be given the chance to bat in the middle order due to his success in the recently finished T20I series. In addition to focusing on his comeback as a deadly all-rounder, Hardik Pandya will be aiming to bowl at least a few overs.

The team will be greatly perplexed by the spinner pairing of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal. Chahal is doing fantastic with the chance at hand, while Yadav is making a respectable comeback. Because of his experience against Sri Lanka in the recently concluded T20 series , Chahal may have an advantage.

With Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami back in the squad and most likely fit to play the playing XI, Siraj can join the pacing unit to complete the playing XI.
