Sri Lanka looked comfortable since the start of the 3rd day’s gameplay. Indian bowlers are finding it difficult to dismiss Pathum Nissanka who has added another fifty in his Test career.

Sri Lankan middle-order batsman Pathum Nissanka has completed his half-century in the first Test in Mohali. After a massive total made by the Indian batting line-up, Sri Lankan batsmen came out to the pitch under huge pressure. Sri Lanka is chasing a total of 574 runs to give some runs lead to India. The pitch on day 3 is still good for batting as both the Sri Lankan batters Pathum Nissanka and Charith Asalanka were playing well before Jasprit Bumrah give a breakthrough on the same day. Charith Asalanka was been dismissed by Bumrah when he was set on 29 runs.

Pathum Nissanka is playing with great responsibility and reading the game really well as he completed his half-century. He played a mature inning after Indian bowlers sent four batsmen back to the pavilion on day 2. It will be interesting to see whether the visitors will reach the 574-run mark as half of the Sri Lankan batting lineup are back to pavilion. Indian bowlers have started to dominate the Test match and Sri Lanka looks in a bit of trouble.
