Mayank Agarwal has been departed and been sent back to the pavilion by a Sri Lankan bowler named Lasith Embuldeniya. The opening batter got a good start since he opened the innings with skipper Rohit Sharma. Mayank couldn’t make the most of it as he got out on 22 runs in 34 balls. Spin bowler Embuldeniya bowled a decent delivery to make Mayank his first wicket. He tossed the ball up and it made Mayank confused as he played a defensive shot and gave away an easy catch to the gully fielder named Dhananjaya de Silva.
A nick was enough for the Sri Lankans to get rid of Mayank. After the opening batter departed, Hanuma Vihari arrived into the crease to play with captain Rohit Sharma who is also looking in great touch after he was dismissed early in the first innings.
India is now currently leading by 197 runs and looking at the pitch, 300 or 350 would be an amazing target for Sri Lanka. It is just Day 2 and India is playing their second innings after bowling out Sri Lanka on 109 runs in the first session itself. Seeing the conditions of the pitch, it seems the Test match will not last for 5 days and it can be done and dusted on day 3.
