IND vs SL Live : Shubman Gill smashes his fifth half century in 16 innings; first fifty at home

After Indian skipper Rohit Sharma’s amazing comeback in the ODI format, Gill smashed a wonderful half century to carry on the first wicket partnership beyond 100 runs.

This is Shubman Gill’s 5th half century and by far one of the quickest play by the opening batsman in this format as Guwahati fans witnessed hattrick of boundaries from Gill’s bat. Gill was seen smashing left arm pacer Madushanka for hattrick of fours and continued the same against spinner Hasaranga.

This is Shubman Gill’s first half-century at home while his other 4 were smashed outside India.

Earlier, Rohit Sharma went on to smash his 47th ODI half century and also crossed 9500 ODI runs.

Shubman Gill joins the party with a well made FIFTY off 51 deliveries.
