Ravindra Jadeja had one of his best days in the Test cricket on Saturday as he remained not out on 175 runs when India declared their innings.

It seemed that all-rounder Jadeja didn’t want to leave the field as he wanted to make his first 200 runs, but it didn’t happen. This century was Jadeja’s 2nd in Test cricket. At the start of the day, he and Ashwin were playing very well and they also contributed crucial runs at the start which made India a bit stable. Ashwin scored 61 runs and was caught behind then. Jadeja and Ashwin had a 100+ runs partnership which was important for the Indian team to reach this massive total of 574.

Rohit Sharma’s Blues will now be looking to take some early wickets and bowl out the Sri Lankan batting line-up as soon as possible. The pitch is looking good on day 2 as well so, it seems that the Sri Lankan batsman will look to take advantage of that.
