As India defeated Sri Lanka with a record 317-run victory in the third ODI to clean sweep the series, Virat Kohli with an epic 166 not out, scored his third century in the last four innings.

At 166* off 110 balls, Kohli reached his 46th ODI century and remained unbeaten. Along with him, Shubman Gill also registered 116 runs off 97 balls and hit his second ODI century. Additionally, Rohit Sharma, the team’s captain, scored 42 runs off 49 balls. Lahiru Kumara, Kasun Rajitha, and Chamika Karunaratne all took two wickets each for Sri Lanka.

Mohammad Siraj’s excellent fast bowling, which struck four times in his 10 overs to put the opposition out of contention, caused Sri Lanka to fall.

When Sri Lanka was all out for pitiful 73 in just 22 overs, it was clear how far behind the other team they were. In the history of men’s ODIs, this victory margin by runs was the largest ever. Both Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammad Shami contributed a few wickets.
