
After bowling a hat trick of no-balls to the Sri Lankan openers in the second T20I, Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh, who took Harshal Patel’s place in the playing XI, begins with an embarrassing over.
Five of Arshdeep’s deliveries were decent, but the final one took a while to finish because he bowled three straight no-balls before ending the over.
In 1.6th delivery of the game, Singh bowled his first no-ball to Kusal Mendis which initially was a wide-ball but later changed to no-ball after the third umpires signalled the on-field umpire.
When Arshdeep went on to bowl the next delivery which was the free-hit, Mendis pulled for a four and fortunate for the visitors, umpires once again signaled a no-ball.
Frustrated Arshdeep Singh went back to bowl another delivery which was the second free-hit for the Sri Lankan opener, Mendis pulled it for a six.
It all came down tona sheer disappointment as umpires once again signalled a no-ball, and a hattrick of no-ball was bowled by the bowler now.
Arsdeep anyhow managed to finish his initial over, conceding 19 runs in his first over.
