Ind vs SA: Rishabh Pant feels there is not much concern about this experienced Indian pacer’s form

India lost the second ODI at Boland Park on Friday and lost the series as well. Indian pacers were in much attention after this loss as their absence of impressive bowling and wickets lead the host to victory.

India lost the second ODI against South Africa on Friday which was played at Boland Park. South Africa clinch the ODI series as well after the three-match Test series. This is disappointing for team India as they lost back-to-back two series and their lack of good performance proves costly. South Africa was amazing in the second ODI as they chased down the target of 288 at the loss of just 3 wickets and there were still 11 balls left. Indian pacers were in much attention after the game as they only managed to get three wickets which cost them this series.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s form was been discussed lately by some experts and some ex-Indian players after he went wicketless in the second ODI and gave away 67 runs in 8 overs he bowled. Despite this performance from the experienced Indian pacer, wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant thinks that Bhuvi’s form is not much point of concern as he feels the pacer is playing a game after a long time and everyone needs a bit of time to find the momentum.

“I do not think there is much concern about Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s form, we are playing an ODI series after a long time so we are just getting used to the momentum. We are disappointed to lose the series but we are looking to learn from this,” Rishabh Pant said to an ANI query during a virtual press conference.

However, as India is 2-0 down in this ODI series, it seems that Indian selectors will give a chance to some young and new faces in the third and the last ODI against South Africa which will be played at Newlands Cricket Ground.
