After Washington Sundar got positive for COVID-19, Jayant Yadav has come into action to replace him. On Wednesday, Jayant Yadav and Navdeep Saini were added by the Indian Cricket Board selectors to India’s ODI squad for the three-match series in South Africa. Yadav was selected as a like-for-like replacement for Washington Sundar, while Saini was added to cover up for Mohammad Siraj as the Right-arm fast bowler has been recovering from a hamstring injury sustained from the Second Test.
Sundar was supposed to join the team from Mumbai on Wednesday to leave for South Africa looking forward to the India versus South Africa ODI series starting from January 19. Navdeep Saini’s name was on backup for the squad while Jayant Yadav is currently in South Africa as he is already a part of the Test team.
