With consistent lapses throughout the ICC major events have a reason for Virat Kohli ODI Captaincy reckoned by Saba Karim after the BCCI decision. In his captaincy, Virat Kohli has a better winning percentage. But was it completely absurd in his captaincy skills to perform in those events?

“It’s the right template to follow for different formats. In such a protocols schedule, it’s quite effective for Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma as I don’t see this bubble lifestyle existing for a year or two. In that situation it’s difficult to captain every format for a player,” Ravi Shastri highlighted on the Star Sports show.

Virat Kohli earlier in the interaction said there was no conversation between the board and me to stay as T20 captain. Shastri who was the coach for some time has said wanted to establish Rohit Sharma as the opening batsman for India.

With a very clear mind. I wanted to go with the plan. If I can’t get the best out of the batsman then I failed as the head coach because Rohit has quality talent,” Rohit Sharma narrates.

Talking about his time with Virat Kohli in tenure. Virat Kohli was skipper for ODI and T20 format in Shastri’s tenure. Both had a fair amount of good times with victories.

“We both had worked on the same template to play ruthless cricket in our times. And to win test match team has to take 20 wickets, for that to play fearless cricket,” Ravi Shastri said.
