Due to the significant significance of the match for the ICC, it will indeed be held at the venue as planned.
The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad has a seating capacity of 130,000, and it is anticipated to be completely filled. Both the BCCI and the ICC are determined not to alter the venue, as they recognize the immense importance of the match.
“India Pakistan will be in Ahmedabad. Yes, Pakistan did put in a request. But there won’t be any changes. It is the most important clash of the entire tournament and there is no way ICC would let go of that. The next big stadium is in Lucknow and Kolkata. But the hosts have the rights to determine a venue and Ahmedabad fits the best considering the profile of the match with VVIPs attending the clash,” the official suggested to reports.
