IND vs PAK: Pacer Avesh Khan likely to be benched for Super Four clash

Tomorrow, on 4th September India and Pakistan will once again be ready to take on each other. While India would like to continue their winning momentum, Pakistan will be eyeing for a revengeful night at the iconic Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

India’s primary pacer of the tournament, Avesh Khan might be seen benched for tomorrow’s game against Pakistan after an embarrassing game against the less experienced Hong Kong.

Avesh Khan conceded 53 runs in his 4-overs spell against Hong Kong and his poor economy of 13.2 will surely reflect his selection for the arch-rivals clash in the Super Four.

India also misses Ravindra Jadeja as the all-rounder suffered a massive knee injury, to which Axar Patel replaced the crucial player. Avesh Khan is the third and last pacer of India’s squad can only be replaced by a spinner as India’s list of pacers is packed in the playing XI. Ravichandran Ashwin, the experienced spinner from the blues, is yet to play his first game in the Asia Cup 2022 and is likely to replace Avesh Khan for the playing XI.
