
Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of the upcoming three-match ODI series against New Zealand. BCCI stated that the Indian batsman was ruled out due to “back injury”
“Team India batter Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of the upcoming 3-match ODI series against New Zealand due to a back injury. He will be heading to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) for further assessment and management,” the statement read.
Rajat Patidar will replace Shreyas Iyer in the India’s squad for the New Zealand series. Iyer played in all the matches in the recently-concluded series against Sri Lanka.
