While they are recovering from injuries, Kyle Jamieson, Matt Henry, Adam Milne, and Ben Sears were not available for selection. Tim Southee and Kane Williamson, along with head coach Gary Stead and bowling coach Shane Jurgensen, will return to New Zealand after the Pakistan series, so they won’t be travelling to India with the rest of the New Zealand team. During the limited-overs tour of India, Luke Ronchi will take over as lead coach.
