Team India started off well in the 1st ODI against New Zealand at the iconic Rajiv Gandhi International staidum of Hyderabad.

The openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill stuck hard with a decent strike rate and crossed a 50-runs stand but skipper Sharma was the first wicket bagged by the Kiwis which slowed down the run rate and the Hyderabad crowd continued to cheer as Virat Kohli stepped out to bat again after smashing an incredible 166* runs against Sri Lanka.

Virat Kohli too got bowled by Santner, leaving Gill alone at the run scoring end as Ishan Kishan stepped out for a different role. As skipper Sharma stated, the team considered Ishan as a middle order support for the team and today Kishan has a tough responsibility which shall also change his batting style.
