IND vs ENG: Virat Kohli pulls out of remaining tests, Akash Deep set for debut

India has announced changes to its squad for the last three Tests against England. Star player Virat Kohli will not be part of the team for the remainder of the series. He has informed the BCCI and the selection committee of his decision to withdraw last Friday. In his absence, there’s a possibility that Cheteshwar Pujara could return to the squad. Pujara, 36, is currently showcasing his skills in the Ranji Trophy, where he recently scored a century.

The squad also sees a potential new face with Royal Challengers Bangalore pacer Akash Deep likely to get his first Test call-up. This could be a significant step in his cricketing career.

The squad for the upcoming matches is as follows: Rohit Sharma (captain), Jasprit Bumrah (vice-captain), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, Rajat Patidar, Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel (wicketkeeper), KS Bharat (wicketkeeper), R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohd. Siraj, Mukesh Kumar, and Akash Deep.
