IND vs ENG: “Kohli induced toughness in Indian team”- Nasser Hussain

Ahead of England’s tour to India, the former English players are advising their team to be as strong as possible. They believe, at the current time, India is the most dangerous team in the world and can outplay any strong opponent. Former England captain Nasser Hussain feels that the toughness that makes India a challenging team is instilled by the skipper Virat Kohli and cannot get bullied by the adversities, be it on or off the field.

Hussain warned the England team to be organized for a tough contest in the four-Test series against India, starting from February 5 in Chennai.

“Any side that can go to Australia, go 1-0 down after being bowled out for 36, lose Kohli because he’s going home on paternity leave, lose your bowling attack and still come back and win after some of the stuff that went on off the field in Australia, they won’t be bullied,” he told Sky Sports.
“They (India) are a tough side. I think Kohli has instilled that. Make no mistake, at home, they are a formidable outfit.”

Hussain had earlier taken strong objection to England’s decision of resting Jonny Bairstow for the first two Tests against India.

Both the teams won their previous Test series away from their homes and created some records. India retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy by outplaying Australia at their home ground Gabba after 32 years and created history. On the other hand, England made a clean sweep against Sri Lanka by whitewashing them by 2-0and became the only team to win the series by 2-0 against Sri Lanka at Galle after India.
