As the series stands at 1-1 following India’s triumph in the second Test against England, all eyes are on the squad selection for the upcoming third Test in Rajkot, scheduled for February 15. With the uncertainty surrounding Virat Kohli’s return and the absence of Ravindra Jadeja due to injury, Captain Rohit Sharma, Coach Rahul Dravid, and Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar face limited choices as they prepare to face a resilient English side led by Ben Stokes.
A top source close to the development has informed Sports Tak that India’s squad announcement for the third Test is expected on either February 7 or, at the latest, February 8.
“The announcement for India’s squad for the third Test is likely to be made tomorrow (February 7) or the day after (February 8),” confirmed the top source to Sports Tak.
The third Test could witness the inclusion of Mohammed Siraj and KL Rahul in the playing XI, both of whom missed out on the second Test in Visakhapatnam.
