The second session of the Day 2 went well for England after some Indian dominance in session one. The second session was not something India had envisioned. India lost both set opener Rohit Sharma and last match’s centurion Ravichandran Ashwin.
Rohit missed another deserving half-century by one run. He survived on the tricky pitch for 144 balls. Rohit came in aggressive and reflected the pitch’s demand.
At the end of the second session, two youngsters are cementing a partnership. India would look forward to remove the deficit as much as they can or take a small lead. India are reeling at 153/6 trailing by 52 runs. Rishabh Pant and Washington Sundar are unbeaten at 36 and 1.
